In 2007 xkcd made a map of the internet based on user populations rather than ownership, Online Communities. The amusing skit above is from Cracked and sees the internet major sites as personifications like god heads, It is easy to see why Pirate Bay is mistrusted in this setup. It is depicted as a group huddled around a copier.

The problem with this is General Zod is an enemy of Superman so this makes little sense.

Siskel and Ebert Archive
Stumbled across the archive for Siskel & Ebert. The 20+ year archive of the show as it was under different names/production companies.
Below is the very first episode of Siskel & Ebert from way back in 1975.

Fringe Pope
Found this in a link from AH discussion, Why Papal Conclave is an affront to Catholic theology and a pathetic electoral system, posted by Enigmajones. Pope Michael, who has about "30 "solid" followers" is one of two existing American anti-popes, there were 2 others but they resigned or died.

Humble Pride
What you have to understand about my people [Scotch Irish] is that they are a noble people. Humility is their form of pride, it is their strength, it is their weakness. And if you humble yourself before them they well do anything you ask.

Head of Sludge
Under the latest Alex is ad for what is euphemistically term "Head of Sludge". Is this a job title and a cool new insult term?
"Our client is a water utility business seeking to appoint a Head of Sludge to provide specialist direction to their sludge treatment and disposal operations."

The Difference Between Fantasy and Economics
There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

Back in the in ancient days of computer games there was a continual desire for better and better graphics. That was then. Now one of the biggest games out there is Minecraft. A game that is has low res graphics and animation.
