I was reading a story about the lax punishment given to a convicted Saudi slaveowner. When the abolition movement began there was resistance to abolishing slavery by muslim nations. Saudi Arabia bowed to American pressure and officially abolished the slave trade in 1962. The abolitionist movement was founded in Christian ethics. Muslims on the hand saw reasons to keep slavery because their prophet Mohammed the Pedophile, The Rapist, The Thief, The Murderer, was also Mohammed the Enslaver. The biggest practioners of slavery today are criminal networks, many of whom are muslim like Turkish and Albanian gangs, and Muslim Arabs like the Saudis. Arab Editorialist Against the Automatic Surport of Isreal's Enemies

The Editor in Chief of the Arab Times, the conservative mouthpeice of the conservative Kuwaiti government, has in an editorial, No To Syria, Iran's Agents, has come out against Hamas and Hezbollah. Admiting his opposition is more to do with existing interests of gulf arabs vs Iran. There is also the tension between the majority shite population and the Sunni ruling class. Is the Taj Mahal not Mo

On a website of a Hindu convert Steven Knapp, there is a long discusion about the provence of the Taj Mahal. The tradional view, see wikipedia, is that Taj Mahal was built by a Mugal Emperor. There is also proof that the Moguls as the invading Muslims, merely reworked an existing Hindu/Vedic temple/place complex during their occupation of india. Christians in the Middle East

I listened to an NPR program, Christian Numbers on decline in the Middle East. Every guest commentator refused to call this demographic change the result of religious oppression. Listeners would recount how they and their families moved because of religious tyranny. Then one of the guests experts would say no one has rights in a dictatorship. When a calller brings up the plight of the Copts the experts explained that thro incidents of terrorism occur Egypt's mainline terror group is not in favor of murdering christians.

Cartoon Jihad

Several months ago a Danish newspaper asked some cartoonist to satirize Mo' the Maurder. Most of the cartoonists chickened out to one degree or another. One of the cartoonist show the cartoonist furtively drawing, another made a joke about heaven being all out of virgins. The cartoons were inoffensive and offended only terrorists.

Listened to a Talk of the Nation program about Hamas. They were talking about the crazy nutty ideas in Hamas's Founding Document. Hamas thinks that Lions Clubs and other service clubs are a part of centuries long Jewish/Freemason conspiracy. Now I have known members of these various organizations who have been with these "spooky" organizations. The Tin Foil Brigade have long hated the "masons". Originally this was a problem that Catholic groups had with nonreligious organizations. The Arab objection maybe has to do with an organization that is constructive not destuctive. Or maybe because the Protocols of the Elders of Zion assertion of a link between Jews and Freemasons.

It relies greatly in its infiltration and espionage operations on the secret organizations it gave rise to, such as the Freemasons, The Rotary and Lions clubs, and other sabotage groups.

Hamas and other non-democratic parties

The terrorists won big in the recent PA election continueing to put paid to the idea that elections are the neccessary part of democratization. Hamas like other non-democratic parties has lots of parts that are not found in mature and stable democracies. Hamas like the PLO, ANC, and the IRA has its own flag and army. Like the others it is described as having an armed wing. They are terror groups with political wings as some sort of figleaf of legitmacy.

There are two compenents to well functioning modern "western like" societies. There is democracy and the rule of law. The problem is that if societies go directly to democracy with out improving their rule of law the result is anrchy. Multiparty democracy results only multi-army states.

Straving Terrorists

When the Israelis withdrew from Gaza they left a world class commercial farming sector. The greenhouses of Gaza were very productive, they produced 3/4 of Isrealis vegetables and exported $100 million worth of produce. The greenhouses were bought and paid for. Unfortunately as the Isrealis left the Gazans reverted to traditional Arab wealth creation, theft. The Greenhouses were trashed and looted.

Now according to a blog I follow, Dhimmi Watch, the Gazans are begging for the Israelis to come back.
